Deborah Norin-Kuehn received degrees in Vocal Performance from the Eastman School of Music (D.M.A., M.M.), and an Artist Diploma in Voice from the Curtis Institute of Music. She has been a resident at the Aspen Music Festival, the Britten-Pears School, and the Chautauqua and Lake Placid Institutes. Her mentors include Phyllis Bryn-Julson and the late Todd Duncan. She has performed the roles of Pamina, Musetta, Anna Gomez, and Mrs. Gobineau; has sung under the batons of Peter Bay, David Hayes, Aaron Jay Kernis and Oliver Knussen; and can be heard on the Living Artists and SEAMUS labels. A guest artist with Ensemble 21 and at June in Buffalo and other contemporary music venues, Norin-Kuehn promotes music of our time, and often premieres works; her voice has been a sound source for electroacoustic works by various composers. She performs throughout the United States, Canada and Europe as a member of the duo Vox Electroacoustica. Norin-Kuehn is on the voice faculty at Heidelberg College. Listen
