Sound Travels Festival 2004, Toronto, Canada (Gallery)

Darren Copeland invited me to Toronto in August 2004, where I was in residence to create diffusion for "Hastening Toward the Half Moon" using the Richmond Audio Box. It was commissioned by New Adventures in Sound Art and premiered at Sound Travels 2004.

La Muse en Circuit 2004, Paris, France (Gallery)

I visited Paris in 2004 for the premiere of Speaking...again, commissioned by La Muse en Circuit. It was presented on a concert featuring the winners of the 2003 La Muse en Circuit Radiophonic Competition. The concert was on a house boat, the most interesting venue I've played.

Sonorities 2004, Sonic Arts Research Centre, Belfast, UK (Gallery)

Composer Michael Thompson and I went to Belfast in 2004 for the grand opening of the Sonic Arts Research Centre. We heard some fantastic concerts of ea music, including those by special guest Karlheinz Stockhausen. We also experienced "vertical diffusion" when playing our pieces on the SARC Centre diffusion system consisting of loudspeakers placed around the audience in five vertical levels. The SARC Center concert space is the clearest electroacoustic venue I've ever heard.
