Your father takes your life as your mother watches you die
and you don't know why.
JESUS' DAUGHTER is an original intermedia TECHNO dance-opera with virtual reality
video and music. It depicts a family's struggle to come to terms with the actions of a
violent and sexually abusive father, a prominent preacher, who considers himself "godlike",
beyond reproach and who denies the abuse has ever taken place. It is a hauntingly original
and profound work for the integration of technology, theater, dance, electroacoustic music,
virtual instruments, and virtual reality video and musical environments.
Installation Opportunities
VIRTUAL INTERACTIVE SOUND AND VIDEO ENVIRONMENT
The Virtual Interactive Sound and Video Environment places the participants (one or few at a time)
in a virtual space in which their movements interact with video and control sounds.
A camera records their movements in real time and allows them to act as a human paint brush
and musician, all done with their movements. No learned skills are required and children are particularly
fascinated by their ability to generate complex sound and visual output. The footprint can be
designed to your space and the projections can occur on monitors as small as televisions and
as large as large projection screens.
