Ed Tech:

I recently created a media center for my home out of an El Gato PVR, Newer Technology MiniStack, and 1.66 Ghz Intel Core Duo Mac Mini. I then created and implemented a similar system for Central Catholic High School's hallway kiosk video system. You can read about it here.

Here is a graduate school project that was recently completed.  It is an online tutorial that details the process of ripping audio from a CD, editing that audio in an audio editor, and burning the edited audio back to a recordable CD.

Here is a project that was created for Regina Coeli School.  It is a web-based newscast for the eighth graders who take part in the school newspaper program.

Here
is another project that was created for Regina Coeli School.  This is a video correspondence project with a school in Mexico. The students of Regina Coeli corresponded with the students of Centro Escolar del Lago. They did this by posting videos onto the world wide web asking and answering each others questions.

Singing:

Here is a sample of Chris singing rock style. This is a contemporary christian rock song written by an extremely talented composer, Rick Harris. The song is entitled Light the Fire (5.3 megs mp3 format) ©1996. In this song Chris is singing both the lead and backup vocals.

Here is a reggae/calypso number,  Look What God is Doing! (6.2 megs mp3 format)  Words and music by Rick Harris ©1997. Chris did both the lead vocal and all backups.

In this selection Chris is singing the end of the second verse of the famous Irish folk song, Danny Boy. (2.1 megs mp3 format) Amy Harris is the accompanist.

The opening of the aria Every Valley, (1.1 meg mp3 format) from Handels' Messiah. Amy Harris, accompanist.

Classical Compositions:

This is a piece written for alto saxophone and piano called Rhapsody (500K wave format) ©1996. It is being performed here by Russell Peterson. Russ was the winner of the 1995 International Geneva Saxophone Concours held in Geneva, Switzerland.

The following are movements from a suite for piano entitled "A Study of Contrasts".

Digital Audio and Multimedia:

Here is a track from a recent Pro Tools recording session. This song is called "Time Alone". The file is in mp3 format and is about 9 megs.

Here is an mp3 file of a digital multitrack recording session. The band is "The Highway 51 Blues Band" and this file was originally created using Deck II digital audio multitrack recording software, a Mackie 1202VLZ mixing board and standard on-board sound hardware on a Power Macintosh 7500. If you like swing and blues, you might want to check out "RC Cola and a Moon Pie". Chris is playing piano on this track. The file is in mp3 format and is 3.5 megs in size.

Here is a political jingle that Chris wrote, arranged, performed and recorded for a candidate in Mahoning county, Ohio. It is called "Taylor Made". The file is in mp3 format and is less then 1 meg in size.
